I really miss Durazo. He has been one of my favorite A's over teh last few years. His game tying single to the opposite field in the 9th inning of game one of the 2003 division series was a moment that I will always remember. He also hit a bomb that was one of the furthest homers that I have seen in person early in 2004 against the skankees.
anyhow, he got cut by the rangers today...
I hope the A's sign him to a minor league deal so I can see him at AAA this summer (but of course, that makes no sense for anyone involved so that will never happen.
his 2004 season in the sim is a really good one for an 80 mil league.

The dude hit .403 in AA and .407 in AAA in 99. How can one not like that?

I'm glad you had the hots for him.
Maybe Zito can still get you there?

Flyball pitcher with a declining K rate. He is going to have a good year this year in oakland, leave as a free agent, get overpaid by somebody dumb, and then never perform as well as he did in oakland ever again.

Poor guy. He was great for a bit there. I don't think he's that overrated though, because I never hear much talk about him at all anymore.
Maybe it's because I'm an east coaster?

It could be because you are semi literate.

So being semi literate has to do with what I am hearing?
Who is the semi literate one again?

I assume you would have read a lot about a former Cy Young winner. 2002 was not all that long ago.

In baseball context...yes, it was. Sosa went from superstar to retired in that time, as have others.
But that's besides the point. If you're trying to tell me I've read a lot lately about how great he is, I have not.
